Wakefield St ENT Clinic is an Ear, Nose & Throat practice which cares for Dr Sam Arena’s private patients based across 3 locations in Adelaide.
Dr Sam Arena has over 20 years’ experience as an Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) Surgeon who treats a wide range of general ENT problems in adult and has a special interest in ear, nose and throat issues in infants, children, and teenagers.
Wakefield St ENT Clinic is run by a small team which operates alongside two other specialist doctors (Professor Krishnan, ENT & Dr Badlani, Oral & Maxillofacial, Head & Neck Surgeon) and their staff.
About Dr Arena
Dr Arena graduated in 1992 from the University of Adelaide with a Bachelor of Medicine and a Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS). In 2001 he qualified as a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS), specialising in Otolaryngology (ENT), Head & Neck Surgery. He did his resident years at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital and over the years worked at several other respected South Australian Hospitals before opening his private clinic in 2001.
Dr Arena is actively involved in teaching ENT registrars, interns and medical students at the Royal Adelaide Hospital as a Senior Visiting Medical Specialist. He is also an honorary Clinical Lecturer for the Faculty of Medicine University of Adelaide.
Dr Arena consults at his main practice located at Wakefield St in the Adelaide CBD, Western Hospital GP Clinic in Henley Beach and the Krishnan Medical Centre located in Salisbury. He operates privately at the Memorial Hospital, Western Hospital, Calvary Adelaide and Calvary Central Districts and publicly at the Royal Adelaide Hospital.
Dr Arena is a member of the Australasian Society of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery, South Australian Salaried Medical Officers Association and South Australian Italian Medical Association. Outside of work, Dr Arena is the Chairman of Otoneurologic Diagnostic Centre (ONDC), a member of the Rare Fruit Society and has personal interests in travelling, gardening and music. Dr Arena has Italian heritage and is able to communicate to his patients in Italian.
